This was our third excursion to the Grand Canyon, but having been to the South Rim twice (see here, 2002 and here, 2003), Kristy was determined to try the North Rim this time around. She reserved 4 nights at a cabin at the Grand Canyon Lodge fully two years in advance, so there was never a question that we'd be doing it (or she would, with someone else if necessary!). Those four nights were to be supplemented with two at Zion National Park and a final night in Las Vegas, but after arriving at Zion we quickly decided to give up Vegas for a third night there.
As memorable as the hiking and spectacular scenery were the cool people we met on the trails, some at the North Rim, some at Zion, and a few at both places. I've tried to get everyone's names right and have included photos when we had them, but do give me a holler if I've screwed up anything!
